Brief Introduction

Hello Fayetteville! just wanted to quickly tell you something about myself. I would love to meet as many people as I can but if I haven’t met you personally yet please learn from this vide.

Let’s Talk Politics- Why you should get involved?

There are 126,989 registered city voters, according to the Board of Elections. Of those, just 33,343 voted in the May 17 primary. That’s 16.25%. And for the record, we have 204,000 city residents.
It is important you exercise your right to vote! Every vote matters.

Many asked me to run as a Write Interest

Write Me In!

After only a little over three months of into my campaign 445 people cast ballots to support me for election in the primary.  This was a shock to many because the incumbent has been an office for eight years, the other candidate campaigning for two years and then I just started. Not fully understanding the process , I thought after the Primary Election the race was over. I congratulated the other two candidates and continued my message in the community encouraging people to simply vote.  After the primary was over I thought it was the end of my race And set up with the idea of possibly And I was OK with the possibility of running next year.

My supporters speak- They ask me to run as Write In

After the race I begin receiving calls from people encouraging me to run as a Write-In candidate. I  Contacted the local board of elections and they told me I could not run again and the same office but I can run as a Write-In for a different office. I immediately told everyone I couldn’t run but would consider next year.

Early Voting Begins- I learn I was told wrong 😑

The day early voting began I received a phone call from someone telling me that I was able to run as a Write In Candidate. The next day I called and verified through the state board of election and they told me that was true and I was misinformed by the local board of elections. Without hesitation I jumped back in the race.
